ANALIZADORES DE PARICULADO
Air Sampler - Partisol Model 2000
The Partisol Model 2000 Air Sampler was the first USEPA reference-desigated sampler with advanced features such as active volumetric flow control, simple filter exchange, and microprocessor-based control for user interface and data storage

The sampler can be used either as a stand-alone module or in combination with up to three satellite units.

Applications
The device is used for the manual sampling of PM-10, PM-2.5, PM-1 or TSP. With its optional hardware mounting kit, the product can sample through a filter pack or PUF cartridge.

Technology
A unique hub-and-satellite configuration permits the collection of samples by day or time of day. With the addition of an optional wind vane/anemometer, the sampling on one or more filters can be performed by wind speed/direction.

Regulatory Status
The Partisol Model 2000 PM-10 Air Sampler has the USEPA PM-10 reference method designation, RFPS-0694-098. A report written by the TUV-Essen in Germany documents the performance of the sampler in connection the European EN12341 PM-10 sampling method.Details

The Partisol Model 2000 Air Sampler from Rupprecht & Patashnick (R&P) is a flexible manual air sampling platform for the measurement of particulate matter and organics in ambient air. The hardware is a USEPA reference method for the sampling of PM-10, and can be easily fitted with sample inlets for PM-2.5, PM-1 and TSP monitoring. It has also been tested by the TUV in Essen, Germany, for compliance with the European EN12341 PM-10 sampling method. The sampler represents a major advance in air sampling technology, incorporating such innovations as a hub and satellite configuration, flexible microprocessor control, and ActiVol flow control.

Major air pollution monitoring agencies, private enterprises and consulting companies worldwide employ the Partisol Sampler to generate quality-assured particulate mass measurements of ambient air. It can be configured in a variety of ways to respond to specialized air monitoring needs with minimal expense and effort. Its unique feature set has prompted an increasing number of organizations to supplant high volume samplers with the R&P product.

Features
• U.S. EPA reference designation RFPS-0694-098 for manual PM-10 particulate sampling.
• ETL (UL- and CSA-equivalent) approval, CE designation.
• Available with a selection of sample inlets, including PM-10, PM-2.5, PM-1 and TSP.
• Choice of U.S. EPA-approved filter media for regulatory PM-10 measurements, including quartz fiber, Teflon-coated glass and Teflon membrane. The sampler utilizes standard 47 mm diameter filters.
• Exposed collection filters can be analyzed for heavy metals using standard laboratory techniques such as AA and ICP.
• Filter exchange made easy by quick-exchange filter mechanism and filter cassettes.
• ActiVol flow control system maintains a constant user-selectable volumetric flow rate by incorporating a mass flow controller, ambient temperature sensor and ambient pressure sensor. The system reports sampled volumes in standard units (standard m33).
• Collection hardware includes single 47 mm filters, polyurethane foam (PUF) samplers and multi-stage filter packs.
• Direct flow audit and calibration procedures using NIST-traceable standards.
• STARNET hub and satellite configuration allows up to three cost-effective satellite units to be controlled by a Partisol hub sampler.
• Microprocessor allows for simple setup of 24-hour and conditional sampling programs. Operating data are stored internally for viewing and downloading.
• RS232 and analog interfaces provide advanced communication capabilities.
• Easily transportable through compact form factor and light-weight design.
• Low noise--appropriate for indoor monitoring.
• Low maintenance requirements through the use of durable components and long-life vacuum pump.

Filter Analyses and Support Services
For commercial and network users of the Partisol Air Sampler, IML Air Science provides quality-assured filter weighing and analysis services using NIST-traceable analytical equipment. In addition to offering pre- and post-collection gravimetric analyses of Partisol filters, IML can also identify chemical constituents including carbon, metals, sulfates, and nitrates.
