ANALIZADORES DE PARICULADO
Source Particulate Monitor - TEOM Series 7000
The TEOM Series 7000 Source Particulate Monitor is an in-situ device that provides a direct measurement of the particulate matter (PM) concentration in a stack.

The TEOM Series 7000 Source Particulate Monitor is an in-situ device that provides a direct measurement of the particulate matter (PM) concentration in a stack. The mass transducer with its collection filter is located inside the stack, and provides results in real time. The monitor comes with a number of powerful reporting tools to distill information automatically and quickly.

Applications
The monitor is designed to provide measurement results equivalent to USEPA Methods 17 and 5 (front end), as well as ISO Method 9096 for regulatory compliance testing. The instruments real-time mass-based results provide the information necessary for calibrating PM CEMs (continuous emissions monitoring systems)--either periodically or on an ongoing basis. Its real-time capabilities make it ideal for process characterization and the development of predictive emissions monitoring systems.

Technology
The Series 7000 monitor performs its filter-based mass measurement using an industrially-hardened version of Rupprecht & Patashnicks patented tapered element oscillating microbalance. The instrument includes the hardware and software support for performing USEPA Methods 1, 2, 3 and 4. Samples are extracted from the stacks sample stream isokinetically. The monitor contains a patent-pending system for determining moisture content in real time. Optional sensors provide on-line measurement of the stack O2 and CO2 concentration for exact computations of molecular weight. Regulatory Status

Conditional test method approval for USEPA Methods 17 and 5 (front half).USEPA Conditional Approval for Wet Stacks.Verification testing performed by TÜV Rheinland demonstrates instrument performance that is equivalent to the European reference method prEN 13284-1 (2000). The Series 7000 also meets all of the requirements of the new American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard Test Method D6831-02. This standard is availalbe through ASTMs website, Details

The TEOM Series 7000 Source Particulate Monitor fromRupprecht & Patashnick (R&P) promises to revolutionize the way in which source particulate matter (PM) concentrations are determined. Like conventional PM stack sampling methods, it collects particles from the source onto a filter for gravimetric analysis. But instead of having to transport collection filters to a laboratory for weighing, the monitor performs a direct measurement of the collected particulate mass on-line. The instruments mass transducer and filter are located in-situ to minimize losses of PM due to sample sample transport.

The monitor substantially reduces the dependence of stack PM concentration results upon the individual operator, allowing for much higher consistency. The instrument generates high-quality source PM concentration information through the following features:

• PM sample collection and weighing using the same hardware in real time. The PM sample no longer needs to be transported to a laboratory for weighing.
• Automated computation of moisture content, molecular weight and flue velocity.
• Software provides guidance for the test program, and enables flexible reporting of results.
• Advanced diagnostics ensure data validity.

Like traditional stack particulate sampling methods, the TEOM Series 7000 monitor determines the flue velocity, collects particles isokinetically on a filter, and performs a direct measurement of their mass.

• No laboratory conditioning of filters
• Single-stage sampling and analysis
• Direct mass measurement
• In-stack analysis
• Real-time results
• Superior precision and accuracy
