Brochure Different Scenarios Keep your software updated ![]() TerminalWEB™ is designed as a Client-Server application, and can be operated as much as corporative LAN as individual computer. Operative Capacity Data storage is implicitly performed through an integrated Microsoft SQL Server data base engine. Enterprise Series TerminalWEB™ allows for data storage in external data servers of 2000 or 2005 SQL Server type, making it highly scalable. Replies to users are done in actual time for being integrated at application module level. Multiple platform execution Having been designed as a Web Application, TerminalWEB™ runs independently from the operative system. If the company has Linux®, Mac OSX® or other systems, the application can be run exactly as users do with Microsoft Windows®. Contrary to what might be thought, and despite its running through a web Explorer such as Internet Explorer, the TerminalWEB™ data concentrator is not necessarily accessed from Internet. Default installation is within company’s internal network (LAN), thus data are not published outside that net. Besides the installation in the company’s internal network, Enterprise Series TerminalWEB™ can also be installed in a Web server to be accessed from Internet by registered users. If installed in Internet, the application can be run by users from Palm®, TabletPC systems or third generation cellular telephones. Stations, Campaigns, Points, Cyles TerminalWEB™ has been designed for handling data from one or several monitoring Stations. Each Station can contain different Campaigns. Each Campaign can contain different points, and each Point different Cycles. The concept of these four entities is detailed below. Station: Is the physical container of sensor instruments and the DataLOGGER responsible for capturing data. The Station is generally a shelter, mobile unit, or an instrument containing fixed structure. Campaign: In case of mobile stations or transportable equipment, these can monitor different Campaigns. Campaigns are generally applied to companies which perform measurements for third parties. Campaigns are stored with a 3 character alphanumeric identifier. Point: Every Campaign can have one or several measurement points in case of mobile stations or transportable equipments. Every Point has a numeric identifier and an alphanumeric description. Cycle: Every time a monitoring is done at a given Point, it is called measurement Cycle of the Point. The Cycle is stored with a numeric identifier. What serie to choose? There are two TerminalWEB™ Series. Each one was designed to operate in situations with different requirements and infrastructure which are detailed below.
Workstation Serie Designed to operate data from a monitoring station from a LAN local area network or intranet. Each of the network terminals can operate data from the station through the application interface or TerminalWord AddIn. The Workstation series is capable of processing data outputs being monitored at a remote fixed or mobile Station. Data are sent by the datalogger in an automatic and unattended way. TerminalWEB Workstation Series receives processes and automatically stores data to be instantly queried by registered users. Enterprise Serie It is a scalable design which operates data from several simultaneous monitoring stations. Data from each one of the stations can be viewed from a local area net LAN or intranet. Each of the network terminals can operate data from the station through the application interface or TerminalWord AddIn. The system administrator can limit access at intranet level or allow external users to view data via Internet, and also publish data if required and allowed by the company. TerminalWEB Enterprise Series can be installed in the existing corporate infrastructure, as well as in a devoted working station with enough power to attend several users’ requests simultaneously. Access Control TerminalWEB has a sophisticated users access control, allowing the assignment of specific roles to every one. The roles scheme is as follows:
